Criw Celf

Criw Celf is an Arts Council of Wales funded pan-Wales project for children who have shown a talent and/ or special interest in art.

Members are selected from Carmarthenshire primary and secondary schools to take part in a series of masterclasses with profesisonal artists where they can explore a range of skills such as drawing, painting, print, metalwork, installation, film making and photography.

The children work in the gallery alongside the exhibitions as well as participating in inspiring trips and outings. The artists involved are thoughtfully engaged in sharing their practice and finding a vehicle for young people’s creativity.

In academic year 2020 – 21 Oriel Myrddin Gallery will deliver two strands:

Criw Celf Primary (year 5 and 6) and Criw Celf Secondary ( year 7, 8 and 9).
