Back Wall Series: Lucy Donald

Lucy Donald is the latest in our series of Welsh artists featured as part of our Back Wall Series in the gallery shop.

Lucy Donald is a Welsh artist working in Burry Port, Carmarthenshire. Her watercolour paintings are inspired by the Welsh pottery displays at Parc Howard Museum and Art Gallery in Llanelli, the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery and Swansea Museum. Her painting re-imagine domesticware items from the collections giving them a contemporary twist.

 

All work is for sale. By purchasing artwork you are supporting an individual artist.  You are also helping Oriel Myrddin become more financially sustainable.

Young Artists’ Club

A hands-on art club for young people aged 8 – 11

Using our gallery exhibition The Building Project as a starting point this term we will be focusing on plaster and all the wonderful creative things that can be done with it! From casting and dipping to wrapping and scarifying we will explore this versatile material in inventive and inspiring ways.

Every fortnight 11am – 1pm

Upstairs in the gallery’s studio unless otherwise specified.
