Venue:  Yr Atom: Y Gofod, King Street, Carmarthen.

Join Oriel Myrddin Gallery and  Martin Davies to learn about Llanelli born painter James Dickson- Innes (1887 –1914).

Trained at Carmarthen School of Art (now Oriel Myrddin Gallery) Innes later went on to study through a scholarship at The Slade in London. His bold, post-impressionist painting style, mostly depicting landscapes and mountain scenes, found early recognition. Through his friendship with Augustus John, Innes discovered the landscape of North Wales although many of his works also depict the south and west Wales landscapes.
