Schools & Colleges
Oriel Myrddin Gallery offers exciting school and college visits and outreach activities in relation to our exhibitions programme which compliment the curriculum.
A visit to the gallery is an ideal springboard for a new scheme of work. Our bilingual, guided visits support creative learning, literacy and oracy, visual literacy and other transferable skills. Our ambitious, changing programme of exhibitions cover a range of cross-curricular subjects and are often applicable to cwricwlwm Cymreig.

Teachers’ Private Views: For each exhibition we host a Teachers’ Private View. These free twilight sessions offer teachers an exclusive opportunity to view our forthcoming exhibitions, pick up ideas and skills and participate in an informal discussion within a professional learning community.

Oriel Myrddin Gallery organises a rich and varied programme of lectures and artist talks throughout the year relating to the programme as well as special events often in collaboration with art colleges and other partners.
We regularly work in partnership with nationally recognised bodies on the delivery of our educational projects with schools, colleges and community groups. Projects form part of Oriel Myrddin’s strategy to continue our ambitious and well regarded education programme and our aim to develop our engagement with new audiences. Projects provide schools, colleges and communities with access to working with professional artists and hands on experience of visual art practices.
Oriel Myrddin Gallery offers workshops, events and off site projects to engage and inspire. With our friendly and welcoming staff and a stimulating and changing programme of exhibitions we aim to act as a creative hub for the local community. Our notice board keeps you up to date with the wealth of arts activity. Community groups also meet in the studio to support each other’s creative practice and we can arrange guided tours for independent groups such as arts societies and home education groups.
