Submission guidelines for artists

Oriel Myrddin Gallery are pleased to receive information about the work of professional artists and craft makers from Wales, the UK and beyond.

As a general guide approximately 50% will have a craft and/or design bias and about 50% a fine art bias. About 50% of the exhibitions in any one year will represent Welsh artists/makers. At least two of these shows in any one year will be originated by the gallery. We usually present a mixed group selling show at Christmas.

The gallery exhibition programme is booked until December 2017 at which time the gallery hopes to be relocating to a temporary ‘off site’ venue whilst building work is undertaken.

The Gallery Manger post is currently vacant at Oriel Myrddin, and although we are still very keen to hear about new work and ideas from artists, there will be no formal programming meetings until our new Gallery Manager is appointed later in the year.

Therefore, please be aware that formal proposals for the main gallery space will not be considered for the time being.

If you would like us to consider your work for sale in our gallery shop or if you have a community or education project you would like to discuss, we would be very pleased to hear from you.
